VIDEO: Mathematical Eye: Near Enough
Most calculations don't need to be exact. Often, it is necessary to make estimates because the available information is incomplete or inaccurate. This program explains how estimates are made, and in what circumstances they are useful. Viewers will learn how an estimate can help when calculation errors occur. Students will learn several estimation methods, such as mean, median and mode, which can assure that their initial assumptions are near enough.

VIDEO: Mathematical Eye: Fun and Games
In this informative program, students are show how mathematics can be used to solve puzzles and win games. Viewers learn that there are often patterns to counting things as they visit the Fun and Game Barnyard, and they learn how to turn these patterns into equations. Finally, a visit to Mr. Boring's class shows how to equate the cost of various ways of travel.
