VIDEO: Canada: Its People, History, and Government
This program shows the cultural diversity of our northern neighbor. Students see that while the two largest groups in Canada are of English and French ancestry, there are also many Canadians whose families have come from Asia and Eastern Europe, the Middle East, the Caribbean region and Africa. And there are native Canadians -- Indians and Inuit. Original historical source material is used extensively in this interesting and colorful presentation.

VIDEO: Canada: Land of Diversity
Part One, "Canada: The Land and Its People" tells of Canada's location and geography, its natural resources and industries. Viewers will learn that some of Canada's problems are due in part to its land area, which is greater than that of the U.S., but with a population equal to that of California.
Part Two, "Canada: The People and Their Culture" gives a brief look at a few of Canada's many cultures, its history and its government. Canada still continues many traditions that began when it was a member of the British Commonwealth. Viewers will see how Canadians share and benefit from the diversity of cultures.

See how natural resources play a key role in the nations economy.
