VIDEO: Geography of the USA
The diversity of the United States is tremendous, ranging from glaciers in Colorado to deserts in New Mexico, from bustling cities like Atlanta to a giant midwestern cornfield. This program explores areas located within our fifty States, noting the similarities and differences in its landforms, climate and regions. Further study of the six geographic regions – The Northeast, The Southeast, The Midwest, The Southwest, The Pacific States and The Mountain States – emphasize that while the regions of the United States are diverse, they form one nation, whose geography is one of the most amazing on earth.

VIDEO: Geography for Everyone
The study of geography involves knowing where you are, where you are going and how you get there. For most of us, geography begins at home. This program will extend the range of our adventures to the next street, the next town and then from one town to another. We will see that landforms are an important part of our world and can even define our lifestyles. We will see further that landforms are part of larger areas, the regions of the world and how these regions are defined by their geography.

VIDEO: Physical Geography
"Physical Geography" examines the Earth's oceans and fresh water sources, the major continents and basic landforms, and the changes that are constantly occurring to the Earth's surface. The program also looks at the world's climates and the factors that shape those climate zones, as well as the world's natural resources and the many ways people use them. Finally, the program considers how these aspects affect not only where people live, but how they live, as well. Through live-action video footage, graphics and animation, this comprehensive program helps students better understand the physical forms and forces that create the world around us and encourages them to apply this knowledge to gain an understanding of human, or cultural, Geography. In this context, students will also be introduced to basic map and globe skills.

VIDEO: Challenging Geography: Explorers Discover America
In this program we learn how the story of the United States is in many ways a story of geography. The story is one of people and the land. It begins with a journey of discovery across a turbulent ocean. After Christopher Columbus sighted an unknown land, our country with its endless possibilities and problems started its geographic struggle. Explorers, settlements, and the forming of the thirteen colonies were all a part of the slow exploration of the New World. But the challenge of geography still had to be met. The mountains and plains needed to be crossed and the wilderness explored. Live action footage is accompanied by historical stills and outstanding art photography.
