Dear Parents,

I am pleased to have your child in my class and excited about the many important skills he/she will be learning in the third grade. This is a letter to give you information concerning our class routine for this coming school year.

Please feel free to call me anytime with any concerns you may have. I hope that we will stay in close touch throughout the year to insure the best education for your child.

Attendance: Obviously, attendance is crucial in order to provide the best education for your child. Please send a note with your child upon his/her return to school after an absence. It is also important for your child to arrive on time (by 8:00AM). I realize that there are unavoidable circumstances that may prevent your child from arriving on time but please make an effort to send your child to school whenever possible. Please try to schedule appointments after school. Thanks!

Friday Folders: Friday Folders come home every week with papers done in class or handed back as well as any letters from myself or the school. Be sure to read through any letters sent home! You can use this as a form of communication to send a note back on Monday in the folder. The folder has to be signed by you and returned each Monday. It is your child's responsibility to make sure that the folder is brought back to school.

Planner/Agenda: This is where your child will write any homework assignments given. This can also be used as a form of communication that either I can write a short note to you or you can write a short note to me daily, if necessary.

Library
: Your child is bringing home library books. Please help them take care of them, enjoy them, and make sure that they are returned on time!

Homework: Homework can be given any night except for Fridays. Please be sure to check with your child to make sure that the assigned homework is completed and brought back to school.

I am very excited to continue to get to know your child and work with your child for the year. Whenever you have any questions or concerns, please feel free to contact me by phone at school (335-4030 ext. 3207), email falzoik@dansvillecsd.org, or by sending a note. My goal is for your child to have a successful and enjoyable year in third grade and to grow as a learner. I am looking forward to meeting you and working together to reach this goal.

We at E.B.H. will do our best to provide a safe, happy and productive school year for your child. It is important that we communicate regularly regarding your child's progress. I hope that we will be able to get together soon and talk about your child and the coming school year. Please feel free to call me whenever the need arises.

Sincerely, Mrs. Falzoi
