Artifacts: Crystal Radio- Dates Worked: 9/05- 10/05 Task: was to build a radio and have it work. My group had limited supplies and we had to find "natives" that knew how we could build this. The only thing we were given to make our radio work was a transmitter. But we had to have the coil wrapped tight so the stations would come in better. Another thing that we absolutely needed was a diode. It was impossible to have this work if we didn't have a diode. And on our first test we were able to make it work. Group Members: Mike Fires, Walt Keller and Matt Snyder.

Hovercraft: Dates Worked: 10/05-  1/06 On this project we were able to pick our team members and we also could buy any materials that we thought necessary. However we only had $70 to buy the needed necessities. What we eventually learned is that we needed to do the job right and not slack off. On the first day of testing our group was no where's ready to start. After that we finished up and tested it and it worked but it didn't go very high. Then we realized the holes we made were to big and then we had to patch them up so it could work. Then the next day we gave it a test and it worked so then  all we needed was to have our driver steer it and it did work. So after nearly four months we were able to make it work. Group Members: Blake Peaty, C. J Stein and Matt Snyder

Indy CO2 Car:  Dates Worked 3/4-4/10 Our 4th project of the year was the Indy car with a CO2 cartridge. We had to do research on aerodynamics and other facts of Indy cars. And after a day or two of research we had to do the 3D drawings and all the isometrics. After those were done we could start cutting the wood and we made it a bit difficult for ourselves when we made it the actual shape of an Indy car and we did it this way because of aerodynamics and the speed we could have. When we were done we painted it placed the axels and the locks on then we put the wheels on and we were ready to race. Our first three races we won. We were the only undefeated group in our class. Then the device broke so we don't know who has won yet.
