ARCHITECTURE

This course provides the opportunity to learn about the history and principles of architecture and related drafting practices.  You, the student, will learn the basic premise of residential design and how architectural models are produced.  The majority of this course will focus on the design and drawing of a structure. 

10-Week Term Grading Procedures

  • Projects: Both major and minor comprise 50% of your grade

  • Class participation and discussion = 20%

  • Quizzes = 20%

  • Homework = 10%

Materials That I Suggest

  • A traditional #2 pencil or .5mm mechanical pencil is highly recommended.

  • Kneaded or cap eraser.

What I do

  • Strive for quality work.

  • Promote a strong and safe learning environment.

  • Promote good work ethic.

What I don’t do

  • Clean up after you.

  • Tolerate racial, ethnic, or religious slurs.

  • Allow cussing in the classroom.
