For an Elementary Classroom Teaching Position

 

 

QUALIFICATIONS:  Among exemplary personal and professional qualities, the candidate should

 

q       Possess NYS Certification in Elementary Education (Dual certification (Special Education) preferred]

q       Have experience with NYS Standards and assessments- particularly grades 5-8

q       Have knowledge of Standards-Based Classroom instruction

q       Have a working knowledge of reading in the content areas and interdisciplinary approaches to effective literacy instruction and literacy development at the Middle Level

q       Be committed to collegiality and collaboration with professional colleagues

 

                SALARY:  Salary and benefits as per DTA contract.

 

                STARTING DATE:  September 1, 2006
