VACANCY NOTICE

 

TITLE OF                              Out-of-School Suspension Program Teacher

POSITION:                            Part-time non-probationary teaching position in an off-campus suspension program

 

QUALIFICATIONS:                       Must hold current, valid NYS certification in any 6-12 content area, special education

preferred; Minimum of one year teaching experience preferred

 

TERMS OF                            4 hours per day: 3 hours tutoring, 1hour communication with teachers and

EMPLOYMENT:                  delivery/pick-up of work                                                                  

 

RESPONSIBILITIES                       

AND REQUIREMENTS:   

·                     Know and be guided by established curricula;

·                     Establish and communicate well-defined objectives for lessons;

·                     Implement instructional program and teaching methods that consider

              individual student needs, abilities and maturity level;

·                     Evaluate and communicate individual student progress weekly;

·                     Be responsible for supervision of student at all times;

·                     Identify and appropriately refer unusual student behavior;

·                     Enforce behavioral expectations;

·                     Keep attendance records per District policy;

·                     Meet with staff as required to advise them concerning student needs                                    and progress

 

SALARY:                                Per Dansville Teachers’ Association contract
