Holiday cheer is on stage at Middle School Winter Concert

Dansville Middle School will host its annual winter concert on Thursday, December 10 at 7 pm in the Middle School auditorium. The Dansville Middle School Bands under the direction of ElizaBeth Irwin and the Middle School Choruses, under the direction of Joyce Eaton and accompanied by Laurie Fox, will be performing.

The Sixth Grade Chorus will perform such songs as Hot Cup of Cocoa and Get on Board Little Children. The Seventh and Eighth Grade Chorus will be singing All is Merry and All is Bright and Shepherd’s Joy. Both choruses will be combining to sing German Lullaby, Where are You Christmas and Yule Be Swinging.

Also performing will be the Sixth Grade Band with Ding Dong Merrily on High, Silver Bay Festival and Holiday Bell Festival (A medley including: Carol of Bells, Silver Bells and Jingle Bells). Selections from the Seventh and Eighth Grade Band will include Santa Rocks the House (a medley including Up On the Housetop, Jolly Old St. Nicholas, and Jingle Bells) and Bobsled Run. The Jazz Band made up of sixth, seventh and eighth graders will be performing Feliz Navidad.

Combined bands and choruses will perform a Jubilant Christmas, another medley including Angels We Have Heard on High, We Three Kings and Hark the Herald Angels Sing. The concert is free to the public. Come and join these students and their directors for an evening of music.
