Over Easter break Mr. William Pogel attended a Teachers Education workshop at U.S. Marine Corps Training Facility, Parris Island South Carolina. The purpose of the workshop is to expose teachers to the various facets of the United States Marine Corps. Teachers participate in the famous “Yellow Footprints,” participate in a number of training activities, observe actual recruits in the culminating “Crucible,” and meet actual recruits from the area. The event is entirely sponsored and paid for by the U.S. Marine Corps.
