It’s hard to believe that spring is here already and we are beginning to plan for the 2008-2009 school year. Universal Pre-K and kindergarten registrations, kindergarten screening, and the class placement process will take place during April and May.

Kindergarten registration will occur on April 1, 2, and 3 in the Primary School main office. Each day, parents may register their children from 10 am to 3 pm and on Wednesday, April 2nd, registration will also take place in the evening from 6 pm to 7:30 pm. All incoming students will also participate in kindergarten screening on Friday, April 25th. Parents will sign up for screening during registration.

Registration for Universal Pre-K will occur on April 29, 30 and May 1 in the Primary School Main Office. Registration will be from 10 am to 3 pm each day. If you have not received a registration packet in the mail, please call the Primary School main office at 335-4040 and one will be sent to you. Please remember that Universal Pre-K is only for children that will be four years old on or before December 1, 2008.

The class placement process for the 2008-2009 school year will also begin during April and May. The process involves a myself and a committee of teachers. We also feel that parent input is important as we put together classes for next year. A letter and a placement form will be sent to all families at the end of April. Parents wishing to complete the placement form will be given a couple of weeks to fill out the form and return it to the main office. Please look for the letter after our spring recess.
