Musical Instruments
Students learn the four families and their characteristics.
1. String family - instruments with strings that vibrate.
2. Woodwind family - made out of wood and or has a wooden reed on the mouthpiece that vibrates.
3. Brass family - tubes made of brass that a put together.
4. Percussion family - instruments that you hit or are hit to produce sounds.

In Kindergarten and first grade,

sound.
