K-2 Vocal/General Music Units
These are the units that are covered through out the school year.
Singing Skills (year round) elements of music.
Rhythm (year round)

Music Appreciation (year round)
Recorders are played by Second Graders. (Approximately 2 months)
Xylophones are played by Kindergarten and First graders. (Approximately 2 months)
Folk Dancing and Square Dancing combined with music and physical education classes K-2. (4-6 weeks) Interdisciplinary unit team-taught with physical education teacher.
Musical Instruments of the Orchestra and Band for all students in K-2.
Primary School Chorus
This chorus is made up of second graders. It is open to all second graders in the Primary School. They learn songs not covered in music class. The chorus performs two concerts per year. A holiday concert in December and a spring concert in June. They practice once a week in the music room with the music teacher and then rehearse with an accompanist in the Senior High School Auditorium where they perform.
