NOTICE

Dansville Central School Board of Education Candidate Information

There are two (2) three-year positions open for the Dansville Central School District Board of Education. If interested in running for one of the positions, please pick up a petition at the District Office located at 284 Main Street, Dansville, Monday through Friday between the hours of 8:00 a.m. and 3:00 p.m. The petition is due by 3:00 p.m. on Monday, April 18, 2011.

The Budget/Board of Education vote is scheduled for Tuesday, May17, 2011.

Candidate qualifications (as per Board policy)

a)     Citizen of the United States;

b)     Eighteen (18) years of age;

c)     Able to read and write;

d)     A legal resident one (1) year prior to the election;

e)   Cannot be an employee of the Dansville Central School District;

f)      The only member of his/her family (that is, cannot be a member of the same household) on the Dansville Central School District Board;

g)     May not simultaneously hold another, incompatible public office;

h)     Must not have been removed from a school district office within one-year preceeding the date of election to the Board
