The regular meeting of the Dansville Central School Board was called to order on Tuesday, August 14, 2007 at 5:30 p.m. by President Mary Ann Holden, at the Dansville Primary School, 284 Main St., Dansville, NY.

RESOLVED, that the Board of Education of the Dansville Central School PURSUANT TO Section 3014 of the Education Law and in compliance with Part 30.3 of the Rules of the Board of Regents, upon the recommendation of Matthew McGarrity, Superintendent, does hereby appoint Thomas Roote who has completed all requirements for New York State certification permitting him to administer in the School District Administrator tenure area in the public schools of New York State, to the position of Assistant Principal for a probationary period of 3 years, to commence on 8/15/07 and to end on 8/14/10; AND BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED THAT during the first year of this appointment the salary will be paid in accordance with the salary schedule as outlined in the agreement with the SAANYS/Dansville Administrators’ Association.

Salary:  $60,000 (to be pro-rated)

RESOLVED, that the Board of Education of the Dansville Central School PURSUANT TO Section 3014 of the Education Law and in compliance with Part 30.3 of the Rules of the Board of Regents, upon the recommendation of Matthew McGarrity, Superintendent, does hereby appoint Kyle Button who holds an Initial Certificate permitting him to serve in the Childhood Education (Grades 1-6) tenure area in the public schools of New York State, to the position of Fourth Grade Teacher in the Childhood Education tenure area for a probationary period of 2 years, to commence on 9/1/07 and to end on 8/31/09; AND BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED THAT during the first year of this appointment the salary will be paid in accordance with the salary schedule as outlined in the agreement with the Dansville Teachers’ Association.

Salary:  $37,008.

RESOLVED, that the Board of Education of the Dansville Central School PURSUANT TO Section 3014 of the Education Law and in compliance with Part 30.3 of the Rules of the Board of Regents, upon the recommendation of Matthew McGarrity, Superintendent, does hereby appoint David Cranston who holds an Initial Certificate permitting him to serve in the Childhood Education (Grades 1-6) tenure area in the public schools of New York State, to the position of Computer Lab Teaching Assistant in the Childhood Education tenure area for a probationary period of 3 years, to commence on 9/1/07 and to end on 8/31/10; AND BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED THAT during the first year of this appointment the salary will be paid in accordance with the salary schedule as outlined in the agreement with the Dansville Teachers’ Association.

Salary:  $49,896.

RESOLVED, that the Board of Education of the Dansville Central School PURSUANT TO Section 3014 of the Education Law and in compliance with Part 30.3 of the Rules of the Board of Regents, upon the recommendation of Matthew McGarrity, Superintendent, does hereby appoint Tanya Ross who holds an Initial Certificate permitting her to serve in the Science 7-12 tenure area in the public schools of New York State, to the position of Science 7/8 Teacher in the Science 7-12 tenure area for a probationary period of 3 years, to commence on 9/1/07 and to end on 8/31/10; AND BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED THAT during the first year of this appointment the salary will be paid in accordance with the salary schedule as outlined in the agreement with the Dansville Teachers’ Association.

Salary:  $39,873.60

RESOLVED, that the Board of Education of the Dansville Central School PURSUANT TO Section 3014 of the Education Law and in compliance with Part 30.3 of the Rules of the Board of Regents, upon the recommendation of Matthew McGarrity, Superintendent, does hereby appoint Teffenie Bovee, who will be initially certified in the English 7-12 tenure area, to work in the non-probationary part-time position of AIS Teacher.  Employment shall commence on 9/4/07 and terminate on 6/26/08; AND BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED THAT salary will be paid in the amount of $17,700. 

 

This service will not be credited toward acquiring tenure.

RESOLVED, that the Board of Education of the Dansville School District, pursuant to Section 4.5 of the Rules and Regulations of the Civil Service Law, upon the recommendation of Matthew McGarrity, Superintendent, does hereby appoint Ashley Decker, who is to serve in the position of Substitute Cleaner for a limited term commencing on August 15, 2007.  The rate of pay for the 2007-08 school year will be $7.15 per hour.

RESOLVED, that the Board of Education of the Dansville School District, pursuant to Section 4.5 of the Rules and Regulations of the Civil Service Law, upon the recommendation of Matthew McGarrity, Superintendent, does hereby appoint Daniel LaClair who is to serve in the position of Substitute Laborer for a limited term commencing on August 15, 2007.  The rate of pay for the 2007-2008 school year will be $7.15 per hour.
