The regular meeting of the Dansville Central School Board was called to order on Tuesday, September 11, 2007 at 6:30 p.m. by President Mary Ann Holden, at the Dansville Primary School, 284 Main St., Dansville, NY.

RESOLVED, that the Board of Education of the Dansville Central School PURSUANT TO Section 3014 of the Education Law and in compliance with Part 30.3 of the Rules of the Board of Regents, upon the recommendation of Matthew McGarrity, Superintendent, does hereby retroactively appoint Barbara Varney who will be initially certified in the Children with Speech and Language Disabilities N-12 tenure area to work in the non-probationary part-time position of Speech/Language Teacher.  Employment shall commence on 9/10/07 and terminate on 6/30/08; AND BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED THAT during the first year of this appointment the salary will be paid in accordance with the salary schedule as outlined in the agreement with the Dansville Teachers’ Association.  This service will not be credited toward acquiring tenure.

Salary:  $18,003.50 (.5 F.T.E.)

RESOLVED, that the Board of Education of the Dansville Central School PURSUANT TO Section 3014 of the Education Law and in compliance with Part 30.3 of the Rules of the Board of Regents, upon the recommendation of Matthew McGarrity, Superintendent, does hereby retroactively appoint Sean Race who is initially certified in the Physical Education tenure area, to work work in the non-probationary part-time position of Adaptive Physical Education Teacher; AND BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED THAT salary will be paid in the mount of $75.00 per day for 2 days per week.  There are no benefits associated with this position.

Salary:  $75.00/day

RESOLVED, that the Board of Education of the Dansville Central School PURSUANT TO Section 3014 of the Education Law and in compliance with Part 30.3 of the Rules of the Board of Regents, upon the recommendation of Matthew McGarrity, Superintendent, does hereby retroactively appoint Carla Vitale, who holds a permanent New York State certificate permitting her to teach in the Elementary K-6 tenure area in the public schools of New York State, to the non-probationary long term substitute position of Sixth Grade Teacher in the Elementary K-6 tenure area for a limited term, to commence on 9/4/07; AND BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED THAT during the first year of this appointment the salary will be paid in accordance with the salary schedule as outlined in the agreement with the Dansville Teachers’ Association. [This service will not be credited toward acquiring tenure.]

Salary:  $35,400

RESOLVED, that the Board of Education of the Dansville School District, pursuant to Section 4.5 of the Rules and Regulations of the Civil Service Law, upon the recommendation of Matthew McGarrity, Superintendent, does hereby retroactively appoint Deborah Katherine Bell, who is to serve in the .5 F.T.E. position of Teacher Aide for a probationary period of 90 days commencing on September 4, 2007 and ending January 9, 2008 and the limited term position of .5 F.T.E. Health Office Aide beginning on September 4, 2007.  The rate of pay for the 2007-08 school year

 

will be $7.30 per hour.

RESOLVED, that the Board of Education of the Dansville School District, pursuant to Section 4.5 of the Rules and Regulations of the Civil Service Law, upon the recommendation of Matthew McGarrity, Superintendent, does here by appoint Christine Briggs, who is to serve in the part-time position of Bus Driver for a probationary period of 90 days commencing on September 5, 2007 and ending January 25, 2008.  The rate of pay will be $16.85 per run.
