EBH Ski Club wraps up a great year

“Oh the weather outside is frightful, but to us it’s so delightful!” This popular phrase is sung throughout the halls at EBH Elementary School for some 24 adventurous students every week during the winter months of January, February, and March. Mother Nature was quite difficult this year but the group ended with great snow conditions in March! These skiing and snowboarding students travel to Swain Ski and Snowboard Center one night after school for six weeks to learn the outdoor winter sports of downhill skiing and/or snowboarding.

The school has been offering this extracurricular activity to elementary students for many years providing students an opportunity to learn this lifelong winter sport in a safe, but fun environment. The EBH Ski and Snowboard Club is under the guidance of third grade teacher and advisor, Mrs. Falzoi. Ms. Pietsch came along as a chaperone and Mr. Palotti came once also. All ski club members participate in the Swain lesson program regardless of their ability level.
