Mustang Safe Zones |
|
Mustang Safe Zones are classrooms with teachers who
have volunteered to be student advocates in the case
of peer conflict. Our Safe Zone Advocates will
listen to the problem and have been trained in how
to advocate for the student while still allowing the
reporting student to remain anonymous. Our goal is
to intervene in these situations in a proactive,
caring, and educational way before the problem
grows. Orange stickers indicating “Mustang Safe
Zone” located on teacher’s name plates on the
classroom door will identify who these teachers are
in the building. Students are welcome to talk with a
Safe Zone Advocate when the teacher is free, or
before and after school. |
