Welcome to EBH!

EBH Elementary School houses grades three through six. This year we have 420 students. You will see the variety of clubs and activities that we offer to students in our building and we are proud of the number of students who take part. We are always open to creating new opportunities and love suggestions from families, students and our staff. We also have a very strong music department including chorus and band opportunities. We believe that fostering learning and growth as a whole child is important to being successful in life.

We are actively implementing and instructing the 7 Habits of Effective Teens. We recognize students for doing the right thing even when no one is looking. The 7 Habits are posted throughout our building and students are taking on more and more of the leadership roles. We want them to be invested in making EBH a great place to be! Our monthly Leader Assemblies include the entire school community and each one recognizes a Habit and various students who have exhibited the desired behaviors and characteristics. These programs have been very well-received and it is exciting to see students expand their roles and applaud each other for accomplishments. When you visit our building, we hope you will notice the Habits in action and practice.

Our academic program continues to grow in level of challenge and in alignment with the NYS Standards. We have worked hard as a faculty to plan instructional units that are interesting, challenging and consistent across all classes. We continue to see growth in our student achievement which includes use of a variety of assessments in order to get a big picture of each student. We constantly check student progress and then target instruction to meet any needs we see - whether it is extra support or enrichment. We are also proud to have a solid team of special educators, AIS teachers, and related service providers that offer intensive support as needed for specific learning needs, Occupational Therapy, Physical Therapy, Counseling, Speech Language Therapy, Reading Interventions, and Math Interventions are just some of the supports we provide.

EBH Elementary is a positive place for students and adults. We are proud of what we have here and hope that you will find this website helpful in learning a little bit more about us!
