The County Meet was held on Saturday evening. Our girl’s team finished 3rd out of 12 teams, while the boys finished 4 out of 11 teams. Maddie Jacobs broke the school record again in the shot put and finished in first place. Brianne Hurlburt finished in 1st in the 1000m and 3rd in the 600m. Maggie Bacon finished 2nd in the 3000m and 5th in the 1500m. Sofia Rodriguez finished 4th in the 3000m. Maddie Shafer earned a 5th place finished in the 1000m, while Erica Patanella and Zoe Veaunt both placed in the top 5 for the racewalk. Brooke coombs finished 5th in the weight throw and Evelyn Miller earned 5th place in the pole vault.
For the Boys, Zach Foster finished in 5th place in the 1000m, Billy Delaney earned 1st place in the high jump, Nick Camuto took 4th place in the 600M, Michael Thomas 5th in high jump and Preston Bell 6th in shot.
Congratulations to the following Mustang Wrestlers who placed at Sectionals: Gavin Hart - 5th place, Nate LaFaye - 6th place, and Shane Crandall - 2nd place. Also, good luck to these three as they will compete at State Qualifiers next weekend.

The Dansville Mustangs indoor track and field team competed at RIT on Saturday night many personal records and one school record was broken.
For the boys team personal records:
Owen Thompson and Preston Bell threw PR in the shotput.
Nicholas Camuto cleared 5 feet in the high jump.
Both Zachary Foster and Chase Perkins ran a personal best to in the 55 m hurdles & Gabe Doe ran a personal best in the 55 Dash.
The 4 x 4 hundred relay set a new PR in the 4x400 relay (Nick Camuto, Zack Foster, Chase Perkins, Alex Rodriguez)
For the girls team:
Brooke Coombs threw 31 ft 9 1/2 inches and Maddie Jacobs threw 28 ft 9 1/2 inches both moving up in the ranks provisionally qualified in weight throw.
Emma Beardsley provisionally qualified for Sectionals in the long jump with a jump of 13’ 3 1/2” & Braelynne Potter jumped a PR.
Brianne Hurlburt ran a 1:48 in the 600 and is ranked 3rd in Section V automatically qualified for Sectionals. Jasmyn Fox ran a new PR of 2:00.
Maggie Bacon ran a 5:46 in the 1500m and is ranked in the top ten for Sectionals.
Maddie Jacobs broke her school record in the shot put with a throw of 33 ft 3 inches. She’s #1 in Livingston County and #2 in Class C for Sectionals.
The Mustangs compete Saturday, February 8 at Nazareth College for the LCAA championships.

Friday night dansville boy swam in Bath at LCAA’s. Yet another night of impressive swims by these boys!! To start it off all 3 relays came home with best times of the season followed by Mason Wolcott and Tim O’Toole setting personal best yet again in the 200 Free. The 200 IM saw two more by Zack Kreiley and Greg Young. The 50 free stand out was Jeff Young getting his second sectional cut. Robert Balconi and Devon Curtis dove to a 4th and 7th place finish. Patrick Puffer and Connor Knapp both swam personal bests in the 100 free moving them up in the rankings for sectionals. The 500 free saw success out of the four dansville entries. Zack Kreiley with a close 2nd place finish, followed by Tim O’Toole, Jordan Camacho, and Ryan Frazer all with personal best. To finish off the night we had a personal best and top 10 finish from Greg Young and for the final individual swim of the night we saw a 1-2 finish from Aidan Kreiley and Mason Wolcott in the 100 Breaststroke. And to culminate the championship meet Aidan Kreiley was awarded the LCAA Senior Swimmer of the Year.

Boys Swimming:The Dansville boys varsity swim team competed Saturday in Baths Fab 4 Invitational. Yet again another batch of best times, sectional times and first place finishes were picked up by dansville.A win in the 200 IM came from Aidan Kreiley as well as another state cut and two personal bests from Zack Kreiley and Greg YoungJordan Camacho swam to an in season best in the 100 Fly followed by an in season best in the 500 free. Tim O’Toole also swam to a lifetime best in the 500 followed by Ryan Frazer 500 Fr sectional qualifying swim. Greg Young finished his 100 Back with a new lifetime best and finishing off the individual events, Aidan Kreiley and Mason Wolcott swam to a 1-2 finish in the 100 Breaststroke with Aidan Swimming to a new pool, meet and LCAA record as well as qualifying for the state championship meet in Long Island. This event clinched him the honor of receiving the title of Swimmer of the Meet.Indoor Track:

Boys Swim:The boys came away with 8 of the 11 first place finishes to finish on top of the Red Raiders 53 to 43.A standout swim came from Freshman Patrick Puffer who dropped a full second in his 50 free and a personal best score for senior Devon Curtis who dove a 162.Senior Mason Wolcott stepped up and won the 100 free, senior Aidan Kreiley won both the 100 fly and the 100 breast and senior Jordan Camacho swam a seasonal best in the 100 fly.Congratulations to our seniors and the entire boys swim team on the win.

Dansville, in a home duel meet against the reigning section v champions, came up short by just 2 points in the best meet the coaches have seen all year.After an intense 2 week winter break training the score was short but the heart of the team showed when Dansville brought home all but 4 wins, new sectional cut times, and personal bests across the board.Congratulations to our double winners, seniors Mason Wolcott and Aidan Kreiley, and freshman Zack Kreiley! All three boys brought home wins in every event they swam and Zack came away with a PR in the 500.New sectional qualifier Patrick Puffer dropped time in both his 50 and 100 freestyle to qualify in both!Robert Balconi shocked everyone as he went toe to toe with the best divers in section V, dove a personal best and beat all but one in an upset on the boards.Greg Young had a standout night and has become one of our top swimmers. As a sophomore, he took second in the 200 IM and third in the 100 back with a personal best times in both.Timmy O'Toole crushed a season best in the 200 free by 11 seconds and an all time personal record in the 500 free with a time 5:24.

Dansville/Keshequa travelled to bath last night for their final meet of the season. Not only did they show up, but they absolutely dominated! They had a combined 15 wins and only 2 losses. Out of the 15 wins 12 were pins. This was a magical season for modified wrestling. Coach Walker wanted all of his wrestlers to know that he is SO proud of their hard work on and off the mat. Great season boys!!

The crew went out and dominated the mat once again. They recorded 12 wins and only 4 losses. Three wins by major decision(winning by 7points or more), two by technical fall(winning by 15points or more), and 6 pins. The last win came in overtime with a beautiful take down after a come from behind takedown to tie the match. Last meet of the year is Thursday in Bath at 4:30pm.

11/4/19:On Saturday, November 2nd, the boys and girls cross country teams competed in the Section V Championship Class C meet held at Midlakes High School. Here are the highlights:The girls team finished in 7th place out of 21 total schools. There were 107 total runners in the race. Maggie Bacon (9th grade) finished in 28th place and Jessica Qiu (12th grade) finished in 30th place.The boys team finished in 17th place out of 20 total schools. There were 134 total runners in the race. Chad Thomas (10th grade) finished in 22nd place and Zach Foster (12th grade) finished in 51st place.Both the girls and boys teams had very successful seasons with many time improvements during the season.Congratulations to both teams on a great season.Volleyball:The Lady Mustangs ended their season losing in 3 to Mynderse with game scores of 25-18, 25-17 and 25-16. Senior Jenna George played exceptionally being a true leader on the court. She had 14 digs, 1 ace, 2 blocks, 5 kills and 1 assist. Abi Henderson had 16 assists, 1 kill, 1 block and 8 digs.

Congratulations to the girls soccer team on their 2-0 victory over Livonia last night. The mustangs hosted the Bulldogs for their senior night. The win places the Mustangs in 4th for sections and earns them a home sectional game. Goal scorers for the Mustangs were Grace Rittenhouse and Madison Lee. Both goals were recorded in the second half of the game. Assists were recorded by Sidney Stone and Abby Briggs. Jillian Schramm was in net for the Mustangs and recorded 6 saves.

Varsity Soccer lady mustangs came back to win vs. Perry Saturday morning 4-3. Goal scorers for the mustangs were Grace Rittenhouse with 3 and Sidney Stone with 1. Maddie Failla had 2 assists and Kyra Veaunt an assist on the game winner. Jill Schramm made some good saves net with 9 for the game. The mustangs now move to 7-5-1 on the year. The JV Volleyball team beat Hornell last night 2 games to 1. Sami Mackey had an awesome serving streak in game 2 which gave her 11 aces and 3 additional points on serve total for the night. Also aiding our team with serves were Emma Heiman, Cami Pappas and Erin Pantanella. Keep up the great work ladies! We take on Bath Haverling on Friday.
Cross Country:The Dansville cross county teams hosted four schools on Tuesday, September 24th. Coming to Dansville were Warsaw, Avon, Byron-Bergen, and Pembroke. Here are the results:Boys:Chad Thomas of Dansville came in first place with a course record of 18:15.The Avon boys team was led by Orlando Petterson with a second place time of 18:18. The Avon boys defeated all of their opponents and currently have a record of 8 wins and 2 losses.Girls:Dansville girls were led by Maggie Bacon with a 3rd place finish. Other Dansville girls include Emma Beardsley (6th place), Hayley Conrad (9th place), and Sophia Rodriguez (10th place). The Dansville girls record is now 8 wins and 2 losses.The Avon girls team was led by Libby Powers. Libby set a course record of 20:20. The Avon girls remain undefeated with a record of 10 wins and 0 losses.Modified XC:;Breanne Hurlburt won the Girls race in a time of 11:20, finishing first. Cross Country:The boys and girls cross country teams competed in the Midlakes Invitational on Saturday, September 21st. Dansville competed in Division 2 and here are the highlights:For the girls team, Jessica Qiu finished 22nd (out of 73 runners) with a time of 23:06. Maggie bacon finished in 26th place and Emms Beardsley finished in 27th place. The girls team finished in 6th place out of 19 schools.For the boys team, Chad Thomas finished 10th (out of 79 runners) with a personal record time of 18:04.Both teams will be competing at home on Tuesday, September 24th againstAvon, Bryon-Bergen, Pembroke, and Warsaw.Modified XC:The Dansville Modified Cross Country team finished very well at the prestigious Midlakes Invitational. The varsity girls soccer team traveled to hornell on Tuesday to play in a league game. The mustangs defeated hornell 1-0 after Madison lee finished a cross by Grace Rittenhouse in the 39th minute of the first half. Jillian Schramm was in net for the mustangs and recorded 8 saves. This was a great team win for the girls. The mustangs improve to 5-2 on the season.

The varsity girls soccer team hosted Letchworth for their first home game of the season. The mustangs defeated the Indians 9-1. Jasmyn Fox opened the scoring for the mustangs 6 minutes into the game. Grace Rittenhouse adder 5 goals for the mustangs for the second time this season. Sidney Stone recorded two second half goals for dansville with Summer Foster recording her first goal of the season as well. Assists on the game go to: Jasmyn Fox, MacKenzie Lawless, Summer Foster, and Morgan Wolcott. Abigail Belcher made her first start in goal for the mustangs and recorded 9 saves—which including a penalty stop.
JV girls soccer defeated Letchworth 3-1. Amber Henchen scored 2 goals and Emily Henchen had 1. Sage Friedl recorded the win playing her first ever game as a goalie.
The girls mod soccer team defeated Keshequa yesterday 2-1. Chelsei Tyler scored both goals, including the game winner with 4 seconds left in the game.
The Lady Mustang team played an excellent and intense game last evening against Avon which ended with the Braves edging them out with a score of 3-1. The Lady Mustangs started strong making a great run in the first game winning confidently with a game score of 25-15. Dansville stayed in it stringing many excellent plays together but could not get the victory despite the amazing effort by all. They lost the next three games with game scores of 25-17, 25-20 and 25-21. A great evening for Maddie Jacobs with 7 kills and a block. Jenna George had 11 digs and 2 aces. Kiersten Kennedy had 6 digs, 10 points and 1 ace and Taylor Mann with 5 digs 6 points and 1 ace.

Grace Rittenhouse opened the scoring for the mustangs 9 minutes into the game after Teah Arriaga played a ball back post. Bryn Lucky tied the game 10 minutes later with an assist going to Maddie Keister. Rittenhouse helped the mustangs take the lead back with an assist going to Mackenzie Lawless in the 23rd minute of the game. LeRoy came out hard in the second half scoring two goals in the first 15 minutes. Both goals being scored by Keister. Lawless tied the game for the mustangs 10 minutes later after a long cross found the back of the net. Condidorio scored the winning goal for LeRoy in the final three minutes of the game. Jillian Schramm was in goal for the mustangs and recorded 15 saves. Dansville plays at home on Thursday at 4:30 versus Letchworth.
