There are two (2) three-year positions open for the Dansville Central School District Board of Education in the 2026 election. The term of current board members Brian Applin and Margaret Foster expires June 30, 2026.
If interested in running for one of the positions, please pick up a petition at the District Office located at 337 Main Street, Dansville, Monday through Friday between the hours of 7:30am and 4:00pm. The petition is due by 3:00pm on Monday, April 20, 2026.
Candidate Qualifications (as per Board policy and Education Law)
- Citizen of the United States;
- Eighteen (18) years of age;
- Able to read and write;
- A legal resident one (1) year prior to the election;
- Cannot be an employee of the Dansville Central School District;
- The only member of his/her family (that is, cannot be a member of the same household) on the Dansville Central School District Board;
- May not simultaneously hold another, incompatible public office;
- Must not have been removed from a school district within one-year preceding the date of election to the Board;
- A qualified voter of the District
