CSE
COMMITTEE ON SPECIAL EDUCATION (CSE):
The Committee on Special Education is a multidisciplinary team established to conduct meetings to help develop, review, or revise the Individual Education Program (IEP). The CSE office is responsible for determining eligibility and the appropriate level of services for students with disabilities from ages 5-21. The CSE office is authorized to identify students in need of services, place the student in the least restrictive environment in which they can succeed, and provide appropriate services to meet the student's educational needs.
Committee members shall include but not be limited to the following:
- Parent(s)/ Guardian, Regular Education teacher, Special Education Teacher, Psychologist, Student (if appropriate), Chairperson (may be the psychologist)
- Additional parent member and/or school physician if specifically requested in writing by the parent 72 hours prior to the meeting
