The EnCompass After School Program meets for 10 - 12 weeks in the Fall and Spring to provide 3rd - 8th grade students with homework help, ELA and Math tutoring, and inquiry learning in an after school setting. EBH Student Council is a group composed of 3rd - 6th graders, meet one to two times a month to help plan and organize activities to benefit both our school and our community. Some of these events include Pennies for Patients, Project Christmas, the EBH Reading Challenge, and box top collection. Have your child let his or her teacher know if they are interested in being a representative on our Student Council!
EBH Fitness Club
A great opportunity for students to be with their friends outside of the classroom in a fun, energetic environment. Fitness Club is available to all students, grades 3 - 6, Monday-Thursday from 2:20 - 3:20pm. When the club is outside, students participate in 'Mileage Club', a program where students can earn prizes based on the distances they cover while walking/running around the track. When the club is inside the gymnasium, students participate in exciting sports games/activities as an extension to the current unit being taught during the school day in Physical Education.Instrumental Music
There are two bands at EBH: a 5th and 6th Grade Combined Band and a 4th Grade Band. 5th and 6th Grade Band is open to any 5th or 6th Grader and meets Mondays and Wednesdays after school from 2:20 - 3:20. 4th Grade Band is open to any 4th Grader and meets Tuesdays and Thursdays from 2:20 - 3:20. Each student who is in band also receives one, 30 - minute lesson each week that meets during the school day. Please consider being a part of the EBH Band! We perform at concerts, march in parades and have a lot of fun making music together!Chess Club
Do you love the game of chess? Perhaps you've never played before. Chess Club is open to all students in grade 3 - 6 and all levels of experience. We will be meeting on Mondays or Tuesdays this year from 2:20 - 3:20. (weeks will alternate between days each week) There are also optional tournaments where club members have the opportunity for chess matches against students from other area schools. If you enjoy reading a variety of books or are willing to give them a try, you may want to join our Pageturners Club. We will be meeting on Wednesdays this school year from 2:20 - 3:20. Members read as many of the books, poems, and short stories on our list as they can while they prepare for our two competitions of the school year. Lego Robotics members work with the Lego EV3 Minestorm kits and participate in a yearly competition with First Lego League. We meet on Tuesdays and sometimes Thursdays from 3:20 - 5:30. After the competition in November, members continue to work on robotics challenges and experiment with new technologies for the remainder of the year. This club is open to 5th and 6th graders who have participated in Makerspace and have shown they can collaborate with others. Makerspace/Technology Club meets on Tuesdays from 2:20-3:20 pm for three different sessions during the school year. We make and build things using high-tech (Makey-Makeys, Little Bits, StickBots, and Edisons) and low-tech (pipecleaners, origami, yarn, boondoggle, etc.) tools. In addition, we use coding websites to build games and other neat stuff. We are open to students in grades 3 through 6. Art Club meets every Thursday starting end of October and ending in May. Art Club is open to any student at EBH. Art Club explores and creates art inspired by different cultures. We also examine and create artwork inspired by different art movements and artists. Students in Art Club will create with many different media, including paint, chalk, collage, and sculpture.

EBH chorus is divided into two groups, 4th grade and 5th/6th grade. During chorus we sing a variety of songs as well as work to build a strong sense of community within our group. 4th grade chorus meets on Mondays and Wednesdays from 2:20 - 3:20 and 5th/6th grade chorus meets on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 2:20 - 3:20. Elementary Ski & Snowboard Club is for students in grades 3 - 6. We take 6 trips to Swain starting in January. Every student takes a lesson each week. The bus leaves around 3:30 and returns at 8:50. Come join us! See Mrs. Falzoi if you have any questions.
