GIRLS SOCCER

10/29/19

Tonight (Tuesday), the girls' soccer team was defeated by Avon in the semi-finals 7-0. 

 

10/25/19

The lady mustangs hosted Mynders at Hornell for the second round of sectionals.  The mustangs defeated the blue devils 3-1. Grace Rittenhouse scores the first and final goal for the mustangs with Madison lee netting the second goal of the game.  Assists were recorded by Kyra Veaunt and Madelyn Failla. Jillian Schramm was in net for the mustangs recording 12 saves on the night. The mustangs play the winner of Avon versus Wayland on Tuesday,

CROSS COUNTRY

11/2/19

On Saturday, November 2nd, the boys and girls cross country teams competed in the Section V Championship Class C meet held at Midlakes High School.  Here are the highlights:

 

The girls' team finished in 7th place out of 21 total schools. There were 107 total runners in the race.  Maggie Bacon (9th grade) finished in 28th place and Jessica Qiu (12th grade) finished in 30th place.

 

The boys' team finished in 17th place out of 20 total schools.  There were 134 total runners in the race. Chad Thomas (10th grade) finished in 22nd place and Zach Foster (12th grade) finished in 51st place.

 

Both the girls and boys teams had very successful seasons with many time improvements during the season.

 

Congratulations to both teams on a great season.



10/24/19

On Thursday, October 24th, the boys and girls cross country teams competed in the league championship meet held LeRoy High School.  Here are the Dansville highlights:

 

For the girls, 9th grader Maggie Bacon finished in 15th place out of 129 runners.  Maggie's time was 21:40. With this time, Maggie finished in 8th place for Division 1 and earned league all-star status.  Congratulations Maggie!  

 

For the boys, 10th grader Chad Thomas finished in 22nd place out of 171 runners.  Chad's time was 18:12. With this time, Chad finished in 6th place for Division 1 and earned league all-star status.  Congratulations Chad!  

 

Many Dansville athletes earned their personal best times at the meet.

 

The next meet will be the Section V Championship held on Saturday, November 2nd at Midlakes High School.



VOLLEYBALL

11/2/19

The Lady Mustangs ended their season losing in 3 to Mynderse with game scores of 25-18, 25-17 and 25-16. Senior Jenna George played exceptionally being a true leader on the court. She had 14 digs, 1 ace, 2 blocks, 5 kills and 1 assist. Abi Henderson had 16 assists, 1 kill, 1 block, and 8 digs. 

 

10/24/19

The Dansville Lady Mustangs(9-9) suffered defeat from the LeRoy Lady Knights(16-2) with a match score of 3-0. Having an exceptional game was Arayana Young with 10 kills and 2 digs. Kiersten Kennedy had 13 digs. Abigale Henderson had 13 assists and 14 digs. 

For the Knights Abbie Woolworth has 13 service points, 5 aces, 6 assists, and 2 digs. Riley Wood had 2 aces and 14 digs.

 

JV Volleyball

10/24

The JV volleyball team lost their final match of the season vs Leroy in a well-fought battle last night. They played as a team and grew so much since the beginning of the season. All should be proud of their hard work and overall effort. 

 

10/23/19

The JV volleyball team took on Arkport-Canaseraga last night and won 2-1. Emma Heiman and Erin Pantanella led the team with strong serves and kills. Sam Bishop passed consistently and also had 4 kills. Sami Mackey played tough defense and had 4 digs and 3 assists to help her team clinch the win. Our last game of the season is home tonight vs. Leroy. Come cheer us on!!
