Parent Update 9/21/22
Dear EBH Families,
We are back into our routine and students are doing great! We appreciate the support you are giving at home to help with this!
Picture Day is coming up. Our students will have their photos taken on October 6. I am attaching an electronic order form to this update and you will also receive a paper copy of this form in this week’s Friday Folder. As usual, every student will have their photo taken even if they are not purchasing a picture package.
Does your child know his/her address? If so - thank you! If not - we are requesting that you practice this with your child for many reasons. The first reason is for general safety. Next, we also need them to know their address when getting on their bus at the end of the day. This is especially important when there is a sub driver OR if going home at 3:30 and the drivers ask for the information. If your child happens to go to another address that is not home - please help them remember this address as well. This can be confusing to students when we ask them and your support is appreciated.
I am attaching information regarding various events. You will find flyers for the Dansville Public Library. You will also find an opportunity for girls that is coming up on October 7. Our students have been invited to this event that will take place at Canaseraga Central School. A link to register is on the flyer.
September is Attendance Awareness Month. You will find some helpful information and statistics regarding attendance that is attached. Mrs. Wadsworth and Mrs. Cripps can be great resources if you are struggling with getting your child to come to school. Mrs. Rittenhouse is also a huge help if you have specific health questions or wonder when it is ok to send your child to school or keep them home. As always, we encourage students to come to school every day. Please know that we completely understand if your child is sick and must stay home - we appreciate you keeping them home when they are ill!
Band and chorus start this week. It is exciting to see our 5th and 6th graders bringing in their instruments for lessons and rehearsals. If your child is interested in joining chorus or band - please make sure they see Mrs. Reynolds or Mrs. Sherman for information. We have always had a lot of interest in these groups and we hope to keep that going! The Homecoming Parade is September 30 and this will be the first parade of the year for our marching band. I can’t wait to see and hear them!
Finally, if you have not returned your forms that were mailed over the summer, please do so as soon as possible. This includes the Parent Contact Form and the Health Update form. We need this information to be current and accurate.
Have a wonderful evening and always know that you can reach out to your child’s teacher or my office with any questions.
