A Summer Message from the Superintendent

As another school year comes to a close, I want to extend my sincere gratitude to our students, families, faculty, staff, Board of Education, and community members for making this a year filled with growth, achievement, and pride.

June has reminded us just how special the Dansville school community is. From concerts, performances, celebrations, and athletic recognition to kindergarten graduation, Senior Walk, Senior Awards, and commencement, we have had countless opportunities to celebrate the accomplishments of our students. These moments reflect far more than academic success—they showcase the character, resilience, creativity, and compassion that define what it means to be a Mustang.

Throughout the year, we have also worked together to strengthen our schools in ways that extend beyond the classroom. Whether engaging in conversations about future planning, supporting student wellness, expanding opportunities for learning, or celebrating traditions that make Dansville unique, our community has continued to demonstrate that we are strongest when we listen, collaborate, and keep students at the center of every decision.

As summer begins, our schools may become quieter, but learning and improvement continue. Summer school, facilities and maintenance projects, professional learning for staff, and planning for the 2026-2027 school year are already underway. Our teams will be working throughout the summer to ensure our buildings are ready to welcome students back in September.

I encourage our students to enjoy the months ahead. Read a good book. Spend time outdoors. Explore new interests. Make memories with family and friends. Summer provides an opportunity to recharge, reflect, and return ready for new experiences.

To our graduating seniors: congratulations. Your time in Dansville has prepared you not only for your next step, but for a lifetime of learning and service. We are proud of your accomplishments and look forward to watching the many ways you will make a difference.

To our families, thank you for your continued partnership and trust. Your support makes our schools stronger and helps create an environment where every student can thrive.
